Measurement Process Redesign

One of the largest projects we undertook during my tenure at Indochino was to redesign the online measurement process. Through collaboration with the Pattern Team and in-depth research into measurement techniques, we devised and tested a new, simpler, and more accurate measurement process through a series of low and medium-fidelity prototypes.

Once we’d validated the accuracy of the new process, we created new instructions to accompany the different steps. With the help of video production agency Giant Ant, we conceived, produced, and edited a new series of videos to inform users about the process, and instruct them on how to take their measurements correctly.

While creating the new measurement process and videos, we also designed a new, immersive web interface through which users would experience the videos and input their measurements. We further tested and optimized the process, UI, and instruction— improving the overall completion rate.

Customization Process Redesign

Another significant project I worked on at Indochino was the redesign of the suit and shirt customization processes. Through collaboration with the Pattern Team, analysis of users’ customization choices, and research into garment customization in general, we designed and tested a simplified customizations process through an approach involving prototype and A/B testing.
